Simple and Easy Party Ideas for 4 Year Old Girl in UK

At the age of 4 years, most kids begin spending their days at school or daycare. Around this time, you can expect your little girl to want to be very busy as she learns and explores the world around her. Aside from walking, talking, and making friends, you will notice your girl can manage to do a lot more on her own. She will dress up, enjoy organizing her areas, and be able to choose and do her chores.

You probably already have a friend or a family member that has children the same age as your daughter. This is a good time to ask them to include her in their activities. You can also ask them to help with birthday party activities and get-togethers. Once again, age-appropriate ideas are much better than ones that are entirely different than your daughter’s age.

As you will probably realize, kids get bored of everything eventually, so it’s good to find creative ways to entertain them. You can prepare activities that can easily be done at home. Any party, cooking party, craft party, art party, or any other party can easily be made with a little imagination and a lot of patience.

1. Art and Craft Party Idea

The number of things that can be done at an art party depends on the number of guests you are hosting. Having only two or three people over, you will probably do a lot of the preparation for the party yourself. But if you have guests over the whole day, it will be nice to have the help of a few friends or family members. You can prepare them a meal, set the table, make cards, paint, and decorate the room with balloons and other decorations. Just make sure to leave enough time to enjoy the experience.

2. Make-up Party Idea

Yes, you can easily have a make-up party for your 4 yr old girl. All you need are the basics. At a very basic level, you can also make her a nice face paint or even a personalized birthday cake! Just be careful with the make-up, because there are still risks for infections and allergies. But at least you can get a chance to spend some time together with your daughter. Just don’t let her eat the make-up or wear it, because this is a recipe for disaster.

3. A Cookbook Party Idea

Your 4 yr old can help prepare a party menu. She can choose from the list of possible meals and then help to make the party more of a special occasion. Not everyone will enjoy cooking, but you can try to make the food very colourful, pretty, and pleasant to eat. You can ask your little girl to make the food and also invite a friend to taste the food. Make sure to tell them it’s an activity that’s free and fun.

4. Party with Bouncy Houses Idea

How old is your little girl? If she is one year old, she will be scared of bouncy houses. If she is 3 or 4, she might enjoy it. If she is 7 or 8, she can enjoy it, too. It depends on your little girl’s personality, which is totally subjective. But all of the little girls should enjoy bouncing, jumping, walking, and running around in a bouncy house! All you need is a bunch of inflatable toys. If you have space, you can even have a little party inside the house.

5. Dance Party Idea

You can do a dance party at any time of the day! It is fun, interactive, and something different than what your girl is used to doing. Just dress your little girl up in her most colourful party dress or top and have her go wild! You can have fun with her favourite music and buy her a few balloons, streamers, and confetti to make the party more fun.

6. Movie Party Idea

You can do a movie party with some popcorn and snacks. All you need is some popcorn and a couch for you and a friend to sit on. Watch a Disney movie with your little girl. You can choose the movie, but it is probably better to ask her, since she may be able to choose something she would enjoy, even if she isn’t old enough to make her own decisions.

7. Science Party Idea

There is nothing more fascinating than science! It is a fun activity for both girls and boys, and it is great for promoting learning. All you need is a few basic science experiments. Just get all the items together (e.g. measuring cups, syringes, beakers, measuring spoons, scissors, soap, and water). You can also bring some bubbles and party hats. Be sure to get a few hand sanitizers to prevent the spread of germs and infections.

8. Art Studio and Paint Party Idea

One thing that we have found very useful in our household is an art studio. Our daughter loves painting, colouring, and drawing. But she doesn’t have much opportunity to do art because we don’t have an open art room. But we have her room where we keep a large table for her to do her art. The table also serves as a desk for her to do her schoolwork. As she gets older, she can write, draw, colour, paint, and cut her art projects. Build her an art studio and invite her friends to show off her artwork.

It’s fun to paint. All you need is water, paintbrushes, and paper. Just make sure to make enough paper so that your little girl can spread out the paint that you have provided.

9. Crazy Experiment Party Idea

This is another fun, interactive, and educational experience. All you need is different colours and a few objects (e.g. a plastic spoon, straw, measuring cup, or empty water bottle). The most popular crazy experiment nowadays if using the Coca Cola and Mint fountain. Kids love it and safe as well.

10. Hoopla Round Dance

You can do a hoopla round dance at any time of the day! It is fun, interactive, and something different than what your girl is used to doing. Just dress your little girl up in her most colourful party dress or top and have her go wild! You can have fun with her favourite music and buy her a few balloons, streamers, and confetti to make the party more fun.

11. Musical Instruments Party

It is fun to play music. All you need is some instruments (e.g. a piano, drums, guitar, etc.) and some listening earmuffs (for parents). You can sing along with your little one, or simply play your instrument.

12. Colour Outside The Lines

This is another fun activity that involves creativity and imagination. You can have your little girl colour outside the lines or make a drawing of something other than a house or dog. Try it with crayons, markers, and watercolour paints.

13. Project Party Idea

The final project that we make our daughter do is an art project. If she wants to do something more fun, we encourage her to do a fun project. You can choose from anything that you can think of (e.g. stickers, glitter, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, glow in the dark sticks, etc.)

She should do the project (be sure to provide everything that she needs) without any assistance from you. She must be allowed to do the project on her own. If you help her do the project, she may feel that you are getting in the way of her fun. It is up to you to help her do the project, but do not get in the way.

So, now that you have a few ideas in mind, we hope that you enjoy them as much as we do. Remember that fun is more important than perfection and that play is the best way to learn. If you have any other ideas, leave a comment below. We would love to hear them!

14. Water Party Idea

So far, you’ve created a fun, active, and educational environment for your little one. Your little one will be able to work together with you to do a project. You and your little one can laugh and sing as you do each activity. Enjoy this fun time as a family.

Before the party begins, prepare the area for your little girl. You can buy a big container and fill it with water. You can also get balloons and streamers, confetti and streamers, bubbles, and sparklers. You must have all of this on hand because you will be adding to the party. Don’t forget the sun screen.

15. Airplane Party Idea

We think that we will be using balloons for this next party. You can have your little girl decorate an aeroplane, or she can decorate her own. If your little one is really good, she can fly the plane for you. You can blow up several balloons and let her decorate them as you put them together.

16. Tennis Party Idea

You can teach your little girl how to play tennis by using balls, rackets, and sneakers. You can play tennis on the grass, on a mini-tennis court, or even outside. If you have a lot of kids, you can make up a fun game for them to play. We think that tennis is a great sport for any age and that it is fun to play!

17. Animal Party Idea

You can have your little girl decorate an animal (for example, a pig) and then make it look adorable. You can dress up a stuffed animal in a baby pig costume or an animal costume and put it on your little girl. You can even dress up with her in animal costumes.

18. Nursery Party Idea

We think that this party will be so much fun for your little one and will be great for the nursery. You can decorate an animals play-room and dress it up for her party. You can have fun with finger paints or play with play-dough. You can have cake and ice cream and maybe even a movie night after the party. It will be a good bonding time between your little one and the other children in the nursery.

19. Construction Party Idea

Your little girl will love to be in the construction area of the house. There are several things that you can do: build with cardboard, build with wood, and even build with anything else that she can find. Make sure that you pick out something that is her size.

20. Princess Party Idea

We think that your little girl will love to have a princess party. You can decorate a ball gown, dress her up as a princess, or even let her pick out the Princess dresses. You can even have her put on make-up.

So, now that you have a few ideas in mind, we hope that you enjoy them as much as we do. Remember that fun is more important than perfection and that play is the best way to learn. If you have any other ideas, leave a comment below. We would love to hear them!
